Dr. Renee LaHuffman Jackson
Director Family & School Partnerships,
Fairfax Co Public Schools

Dr. Reneé LaHuffman-Jackson is the director of Family-School Partnerships in Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. As director, Dr. LaHuffman-Jackson leads the district’s delivery of partnering with families in FCPS’s priorities and initiatives outlined in the division’s strategic plan by providing effective family engagement strategies and programs to support student success and healthy development.

Dr. LaHuffman-Jackson has previously served as the senior manager of education initiatives at National PTA in Alexandria, Virginia where she was responsible for the development, implementation, and overseeing of all education programs and initiatives including family engagement, School of Excellence recognition program, literacy programs, STEM, education technology, diversity and inclusion initiatives, early childhood, and arts in education programs.

She has served as an elementary school principal and assistant principal at the elementary and secondary levels. During her tenure as a teacher, she taught all elementary grades K-6 except kindergarten and first grade. Dr. LaHuffman- Jackson has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix, where she taught, Action Research and Evaluation and Administration of Special Programs to aspiring principals in the graduate program. She also supervised principal interns and student teachers in Northern Virginia in this previous role.

Dr. LaHuffman-Jackson obtained her doctoral degree from Fayetteville State University in Educational Leadership, her Master of Arts in School Administration from Chapman University, Orange, CA, and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Fayetteville State University. Dr. LaHuffman-Jackson has presented at numerous national, state, and local conferences and trainings for students, parents, teachers, principals, and superintendents.

She is the wife of Army retired spouse of 29 years, Ray, mother of two adult children, Terrell and Jordan, and grandmother, Kash.
